woot woot!

better better better

Ok,
so with an pending return date, I have resolved to be better at blogging. I also need an excuse to continue my procrastination of cooking. It's been a while- so sit back, buckle in and get ready.

Brother Johnny was in town with the delightful Cat Essiambre and run amuck we did.
They arrived just in time for *Ben's bday which started with Steins of Beer and yummy ribs at a micro brewery by Belvedere palace
Then off to the Bermuda Brau where we sipped free sekt (fake champagne) and tried not to get bottled.
The next night we met up with a bunch of lovely people again to feast at this amazing all you can eat a la carte Asian fusion place- where I ate so much that I threw up...literally...heffer extremeo

On the Sunday afternoon we all went to sit in some prime seats at Cirdue du Soleil- Corteo I was lucky enough to score free tickets from the cast and crew when then came in to party it up one night at Crossfields- in the words of the great Scott Carpenter "I'm a charming mother fu*ker"(Scott is the other half of Scott and Kirsten- some bad ass Americans that became part of the family during their 7 month stint in Vienna for work - We miss you guys!!! except you Scott since you're still here, or back again...either way, we'll go back to missing you next week)
Then John and Cat hit some mountains and we met up with them in Lienz about a week later to do the same and visit with Oma.
Oma as always was hilarious, though unfortunately confined to a hospital bed while we where there. (videos and pics of all this stuff to come in a separate post)
I accompanied Johnny, Cat and Ben to the top of the mountain to bask in the view while they boarded- in an effort to not die.
however I just about did while taking the ski lift back down alone. I seriously considered jumping off just to make it end. I DO NOT LIKE HEIGHTS!!! it was one thing going up with everyone but down alone. never again!
The view was unbelievable though, and probably worth the mild heart attack and 10 grey hairs I have from the ride.
So back to Vienna, and empty bottle of jager later, a few bumps and bruises and they were on their way back.

Last weekend Ben and I hopped a plane to Jolly Ol' England to get crazy, and watch my friend Glenns band WHITMORE play a reunion show in Salsbury.
We spent the first night in London hosted by Ben's lovely friends celebrating a birthday and chasing the sun home the next morning - then off to the gig and to see some Rocks

I'd say that brings us up to speed for now. 8 Days and I'm off to AMSTERDAM!!!!! a very censored blog entry to follow I promise....

xxx
ps this was an epic effort- editing if ever will come some other time...

*Ben is this really rad dude that I'm lucky enough to call my boyfriend :)
